In answer to anon 11:20's very specific questions, they've paid over $260,000 in interest, and I don't believe that includes attorneys' fees and the cost of negotiating for so long over the Heers deal, not just with McGowan Walsh.... I can't tell you what their net is exactly, I can safely say that they will not net the gross amount McGowan-Walsh is paying.

So, what does the city net from the deal? How much have they paid in interest payments on the Heer's loan?
This math is done with a Cumley-Finnie hand held calculator which was not turned on, but will e mail the desired answer to the newspaper...
It sounds like the N-L just wants to put the best spin on a cut and run policy for the tower.
