With the leadership of Barney Frank and his friends,

all the Wall Street finance intellects, our finest economic leaders and their staffs,
cannot seem to run a banking system.

We need to develop the same trust in Wall Steet that Hillary has in Bill.

This article was a topic for discussion this evening with our adult children.

Our investments have been sinking like a flat rock in Bull Creek. BUT our cash is still cash.

Our son who is in his early 30s will weather this, he is still contributing and is able to buy blue chips at bargain rate prices. 30 years from now he will be doing ok.

I, on the other hand, saw my investments plummet. I can't hope to recoup too much of the loss. I can absorb it but it sure puts a dent in Airstream wandering.

I used to laugh that my motto was buy high and sell low. It ain't funny no more.

No great joy at the Bright Yellow Gun abode this week, either.

Over the last two years my beloved wife/financial expert has resisted the urge to allocate our investments aggressively, for which we are now very thankful. That has eased the hurt somewhat. But we are still taking it up the proverbial wazoo.

On the other hand, we are both in good health and both have (God willing) plenty of years left to work. I always planned on leaving my job feet first anyway.
