Jordan Creek Floodplain Cleanup Competed with Area Activities on Saturday

and there was plenty of competition vying for Springfield residents attention yesterday, including the St. Patrick's Day Parade

Over 30 people were involved in the Jordan Creek floodplain cleanup on Saturday. Yours truly got in on it and can even be seen in the two videos below (look for the light gray jacket and hat).

My muscles are telling the story today. :)

I believe this was a worth while event and the event went off without a hitch. We couldn't get it all into 3 dumpsters but at least the visible part of the property is not eye appealing.

Tom,

I think you meant to say, at least the visible part of the property is is MORE eye appealing. ???

At least, I thought it was more appealing to look at than when we started cleaning it up yesterday! :)

Yes, I think it's going to take a lot more than three dumpsters to clean that area of trash and debris but, it sure felt good to play a part in the process.

The kind of soreness you get from this kind of experience is something a person can live with, as long as something good was accomplished.

It was also nice to meet people. There are sure a lot of nice people in Springfield, Missouri.

...and thanks again for the Easter "gift." (Some people might say it laid an "egg" but don't tell Tom.)

I believe what Tom is trying to say is that the property went from eye appaling to eye appealing.

Let's hope thing go well as Tom tries to clean up City Hall.
