There was no bill to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. The hoopla over a study seems to have set off the right talkers. But these talkers failed to actually read the study. The study rejected the fairness doctrine. Instead it called for the end of the Communication act of 1996 which allowed Media corporations to expand and emplace mono-content in place of local content. It also called for diversity in ownership of medias. And for liberal millionaires to start buying up radio stations like the right and christians have been doing for years. But no fairness doctrine...we dont want the government forcing us to have to hear Boortz (actually he not that bad) on Air America! Fairness doctrine is a red herring folks.

"Rejected"... for now. Don't be a fool, shak el - there ARE people in politics - IMO, on both sides - who want talk radio under their thumbs.
